How much does the All-on-4 treatment cost?

All-on-4 is a dental rehabilitation solution that gives you a new set of teeth supported by a total of four dental implants in each jaw. All dental implants are a type of cosmetic dentistry, which means it is primarily used to improve the look of a patient’s teeth, as well as its functionality.

The All-on-4 treatment is considerably more expensive than removable options such as dentures because it is a long-term and permanent solution. Depending on which clinic you go to and the amount of work that needs to be done, All-on-4 treatments will typically cost in the range of low to mid five figures.

Compared to other fixed dental restorations like traditional bridgework, which can be done at a much lower cost, All-on-4 dental implants are a more comprehensive dental rehabilitation since it is a full arch replacement that gives you an entirely new set perfect looking teeth. The replacement teeth that you get with All-on-4 also has a higher probability of lasting the rest of your lifetime compared to dental bridges that are held on by your natural teeth which can still get worn down over time and typically have a maximum lifespan of 10 to 15 years before it needs to be replaced.

All-on-4 requires less work than other implant supported bridges that require anywhere from six to eight dental implants. It doesn’t require any bone grafts, which adds to the total cost, to be done prior to the implant surgery for it to be successful.

Can the All-on-4 treatment be covered by insurance?

Medicare and hospital cover do not cover most types of dental work, especially cosmetic dental work like dental implants and the All-on-4 treatment. You can get dental coverage if you have extras cover, but you’ll still have to pay out of pocket for a large portion of the cost of treatment because of the annual limits outlined in every health insurance policy. You may also be able to file claims for some parts of the All-on-4 treatment such as tooth extractions, but will be out of pocket for costs that fall outside of the annual limits.

Does the All-on-4 treatment differ in price depending on how many teeth you replace?

All-on-4 treatment costs are quoted per arch. The price of the treatment covers the cost of extracting all your remaining teeth, implant surgery and the permanent bridge that will replace your natural teeth. If you need to have all the teeth in both your upper and lower arches restored you can expect to pay roughly double what a single arch restoration would typically cost. Since the All-on-4 treatment was developed to be a full arch replacement, it is not an ideal solution for cases where only a few teeth need to be replaced.

How much does All-on-4 maintenance cost?

Compared to other types of dental restorations, All-on-4 requires very little maintenance once the procedure has been successfully completed. The permanent implant supported bridge doesn’t require any special care or maintenance other than regular daily cleaning with a toothbrush and floss. You don’t need any special cleaning solutions or adhesives like you would with dentures. However, it is still highly recommended that you visit your dentist at least every six months for a more thorough cleaning to ensure the longevity of your bridge and to check the health of your implants.

The Malo Clinic also offers a worldwide warranty for every All-on-4 treatment we perform. This gives you additional assurance that you won’t need to pay extra to correct any defects or problems you may encounter with your dental implants.
